What’s the Culture Like at Luxomni?

What Can I Expect?

A Sunday morning service at Luxomni is about 60 minutes in length. Services begin with the Worship Team leading the church in music - song lyrics are projected onto the screens so you can sing along and/or engage with worship however you feel most comfortable. After the music portion of the service is complete, our pastor will share an encouraging and hope-filled message about Jesus.

What Does the Word Luxomni Mean?

The Luxomni community began in 1891 as a railroad flag station, about one mile east of Lilburn. The name came from two Latin words. “Lux” is the Latin word for light, and “omni” in Latin means all. The name Luxomni means “Light Unto All.

Is Childcare Provided?

Yes! We love children. At Luxomni your children are a top priority. Our nursery and children’s area are clean, safe, and staffed with loving workers. Our nursery is located to the left in the welcome area. Children worship with their families and are then led to the children’s church area before the message. They are taught about Jesus through stories, crafts, and songs that give them Biblical truths.

How Can I Get Connected?

There are several ways to get connected at Luxomni. You can start with meeting Pastor Don and some of our leadership (immediately following every Sunday service) in the welcome area as you exit the building. We can answer questions and see each other face to face. You may also attend one of our Connection Small Groups to learn more about your relationship with Christ. You can visit the Next Steps ministry area to the left of the platform for more information about the ministries of Luxomni as well as have prayer with one of our prayer partners. Please be sure to keep up with what’s going on in the Events Tab online. In each of these areas, you can build friendships and have the opportunity to grow in your faith. Life sometimes can be messy. People are broken, but there is joy and purpose in Jesus Christ.
